Dr. Terri Rieger

Optometrist

Dr. Rieger received her bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. She earned her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Missouri-St. Louis School of Optometry. In 2014, she became Board Certified with the American Board of Optometry. She belongs to the following associations: American Optometric Association (Member), Illinois Optometric Association (Member), Bloomington Region Optometric Society (Past President, Member), College of Optometrist on Vision Development (Member), Optometric Extension Program (Clinical Associate), and the Ocular Nutrition Society (Member).


Dr. Rieger completed clinical externships at the Omni Eye Center in Atlanta, GA and with the United States Marine Corps at the Marine Corps Base Hawaii. In 2002, she joined Dr. Craig Witte in private practice. She benefited from his mentorship and expertise in children’s vision and learning-related vision problems and later became the owner of the practice. Dr. Rieger is passionate about children's vision development and excited to offer specialized children’s eye care and vision therapy in addition to full scope optometric care and advanced dry eye treatment.

Dr. Rieger is involved in her community as a Rotarian, she served on the Fairbury Chamber of Commerce Board, and also served as Vice President of the Livingston County Boys and Girls Club.

Tyson J. Herrmann, O.D.

Doctor of Optometry​​​​​​​


Dr. Herrmann is a native of Central Illinois, born and raised in Peoria. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology degree from Bradley University in Peoria in 1998. He then earned his Doctorate of Optometry in 2003 from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. There, he was a Dean’s Honor Student receiving awards for clinical assistance and practice management. He also served as a tutor and professorial assistant.

Dr. Herrmann completed clinical externship rotations at the Kresge Eye Institute in Detroit, Michigan, the Wolfe Eye Clinic in Des Moines, Iowa, and the Ocular Care Unit at the United States Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center at Tomah, Wisconsin.

Dr. Herrmann has provided eye care in central Illinois since 2003 and has over 19 years of experience working directly in Medical Ophthalmology. He has extensive training in the treatment and management of ocular diseases including Macular Degeneration, Glaucoma, Diabetic Retinopathy, and Dry Eye Syndrome. He is certified in preoperative and postoperative surgical care including cataract extraction with standard and premium toric and multifocal intraocular lenses, Light Adjustable Lenses, EVO Implantable Collamer Lenses, PRK, and LASIK.

Dr. Herrmann is a member of the American Optometric Association, Illinois Optometric Association, Bloomington Region Optometric Society, and Illinois Society for the Prevention of Blindness.

Dr. Herrmann has held the position of official examiner for the National Board of Examiners in Optometry and is currently an Adjunct Assistant Professor for the Illinois College of Optometry.

Dr. Herrmann lives in Clinton, Illinois with his wife. They have 3 children and enjoy traveling and spending time with their grandson.
