Optometrist

Dr. Franey received her bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. She earned her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Missouri-St. Louis School of Optometry. In 2014, she became Board Certified with the American Board of Optometry. She belongs to the following associations: American Optometric Association (Member), Illinois Optometric Association (Member), Bloomington Region Optometric Society (Past President, Member), College of Optometrist on Vision Development (Member), Optometric Extension Program (Clinical Associate), and the Ocular Nutrition Society (Member).

Dr. Franey completed clinical externships at the Omni Eye Center in Atlanta, GA and with the United States Marine Corps at the Marine Corps Base of Hawaii. She entered private practice with Dr. Craig Witte and benefited from his mentorship and expertise in children’s vision and learning-related vision problems, later becoming the owner of the practice. Dr. Franey is passionate about children's vision development and excited to offer specialized childrens eye care and vision therapy in addition to full scope optometric care and advanced dry eye treatment.

Dr. Franey is involved in her community as a Rotarian, she served on the Fairbury Chamber of Commerce Board, and also served as Vice President of the Livingston County Boys and Girls Club.
